Dr. Iwuala is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. After earning her medical degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, she received additional training through a residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology at the Lagos University teaching Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria and practiced as an endocrinologist before relocating to the USA. Thereafter, she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and a fellowship in Endocrinology at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, New York.
“I’m excited to be of service to the Lynchburg community because the people are warm, respectful and appreciative”. When she is not providing care at the Heart and Vascular Institute, she likes to spend her time with her family and travel to new places.
