About Me

Dr. Huffman is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography. After earning his medical degree from University of Virginia School of Medicine, he received additional training through a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Virginia and a fellowship in Cardiology at Medical University of South Carolina. 

He loves caring for the Lynchburg community because cardiac care and interventions can significantly prolong lives and improve quality of life. When he is not providing care at the Heart and Vascular Institute, he likes to spend his time with family, traveling, and hiking.

Dr Huffman was excellent in listening, explaining tests that had been done and suggestions for treatment/monitoring. He spent quite a bit of time with me and made sure I understood what he explained.

Dr. Huffman is the very best. He explained everything so well, reinforcing what he said in excellent ways throughout the visit. He seemed very knowledgeable and caring. My husband commented if he ever needed to see a cardiologist he hopes it will be Dr. Huffman. In short, Dr. Huffman was great!
