About Me
Dr. Jesse Payton was born and raised on the island of Oahu, in Hawaii. He completed his undergraduate education in 2013 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he majored in Biology with a focus on neuroscience. Dr. Payton then returned to Hawaii for one year, serving as the interim coach of Hawaii Fencer’s Club. He then graduated from medical school at the University of Virginia in 2018. After completing his plastic surgery integrated residency in 2024 (Texas A&M University at Baylor Scott & White – Temple, Texas), he returned to Virginia accepting a position at Centra Medical Group Plastic Surgery in Lynchburg, Virginia.
Dr. Payton is excited to be back in Virginia, serving the community that brought his family together. He performs a broad range of both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, with focuses on facial aesthetic surgery, rhinoplasty, breast surgery (both aesthetic and reconstructive), skin cancer reconstruction, and general reconstructive surgery.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Payton enjoys hiking, woodworking, playing the violin, fencing, and spending time with his wife and cat.
